Fernie Tourism Association is the exclusive marketing body for the community of Fernie, British Columbia and the only agency of its kind in south-eastern B.C.

 

Founded in 1992, Fernie Tourism Association is a not-for-profit, privately funded, voluntary marketing body, with the mandate of promoting member businesses and the community of Fernie as a whole.

 

The role of Fernie Tourism Association is multi-faceted:

·         Attend ski/snowboard and summer outdoor consumer shows, promoting Fernie's four-season adventure products

·         Produce semi-annual information brochures and general marketing material for wide-spread distribution

·         Media buying in domestic and international print publications

·         Media relations coordination for visiting media representatives

·         Educate the community at large about developments in the tourism industry - both at home and abroad - via newsletters, information sessions and public speaking engagements

·         Produce high-quality special events (look in the Special Events section of this site for more details)

All of these initiatives are undertaken with the mission of heightening the awareness of Fernie as a four-season, recreational destination and to provide our visitors with a world-class vacation experience.
